It will be $350 for the next 30 days. I made a blog post about it. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to email us.

I have been following the development of PureLight for a while and was about to order it now. There is however a paragraph in your pureLight_EULA which raises questions for me.

Citing EULA Paragraph 9.5:

"9.5 Audits. To ensure compliance with this Agreement, You agree that upon reasonable notice, 3DI or 3DI’s authorized representative shall have the right in inspect and audit Your Installation, Access and use of the Software. Any such inspection or audit shall be conducted during regular business hours at Your facilities or electronically. "

As i am in the middle of europe, its predictable that - if such a request would be done - this paragraph seems to force the customer to connect the development machine running PureLight to the internet and allow remote access to its contents. As a principle in my (and other) companies, no valuable assets involved in software development are ever connected to a wan like the internet, so this would force me to use pureLight on a seperate machine/installation which would obviously make workflow a bit troublesome.

Could you please clarify this paragraph to me regarding electronical audits and/or remote access?

I was also missing a paragraph about the license regarding the use of the data produced with pureLight. Are there any limitations about the use/distribution/sale of the data/textures produced with pureLight?

Looking forward for your reply and to buying your software hopefully :)

@Ramihyn - That is actually more to cover large studio licenses to verify compliance. If a large studio licensed 20 copies, but was using 40 you could see that it would be an issue. At some point we may implement a check that doesn't transmit any identifying data to make sure that a particular license key isn't being distributed around the net. As for distributing data created with pureLIGHT. You are free to sell, give away, trade, etc. anything produced with pureLIGHT.
