Plan for Jerane Alleyne

Well, it looks like we have pretty much everyone we need on our team so far, but I can't help but think we're gonna need more programmers later on...I'll have to keep my finger on that...

We are in the Early stages of what is affectionately called "Goal #01". This is the completion of, first, the basic world that the game will be in, which includes the game physics, animation and overall pace or speed of the game, then moving further into the complete game environment, which would be the complete animation for all models, their individual movements and control, complete user interface and HUD(s), and the test level maps that represent all the game environments.

So far, in the anticipation of meeting the first part of Goal#01, we have a few test maps we will be using, as well as more models to start using for animation. However, we have run into a small roadblock...it appears that the Lithtech, the engine we are using requires Character Studio to perform the animation we need. Although it supports vector animation, we can't use it in a way that will work for us. Call me cheap, but I'd rather not have to buy a +$1000 application until I exhaust every alternative. So I've posted a Help Wanted looking for a programmer that might be capable of creating an export plugin for one of the other 3D Modeling/animation tools we are using: Animation Master...or if possible to make one for Milkshape 3D. I figure if that fails, I'll break down and get the damn program :)

Until that is resolved, I personally stopped working on models for a while, and started playing around with making terrain for some of the levels using heightmaps. Possibly later on in development, I might try my hand at making some small levels. I like to keep my hands dirty :P.

One of the Best things so far is that I'm nearly complete in the current Game Document! The final stroke is putting in all the various equipment for all the vehicles in the game. I just finished all of the weapons, and I may have to go back and make sure that their balanced correctly. That'll be fun...
Probably fo rthe next .plan, I'll speak to my fellwo cohorts to see about putting up some of the concept art, models and shots of the maps we have so far.

Well, I know I have something to do somewhere...more to come later :)
