Plan for Melv May

For those who don't know, I'm involved in creating a simple game with a short development cycle, around 2-3 months.

We're well into it now, with the design pretty much complete. Only a few holes but those can be plugged as we go. I say 'we' because I've got a little help.

Helping me with the design are a couple of friends, Sefton Redshaw and Craig Ball. Craig Ball being one of my programming team at work and long-time best buddy, he was also the best-man at my wedding. Sefton is the most imaginative individual I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He's got such an amazing imagination, he's simply an idea machine.

Craig has just joined GarageGames and is now a SDK owner, forum name 'Craggy'. He knows only a little about the engine but is a quick study and a talented guy. I hope, if you come across him on the forums, you'll give him any help you can provide.

We'll probably be pairing-up on a number of projects so you should see us posting on similar subjects in the future. I would ask that you make him blush by sending an email wishing him good luck from the GG community to make him feel welcome craigball_uk@yahoo.co.uk.

Anyway, the game is still on course in it's original format with not too much 'feature-creep'. I know we're about a week behind at the moment but that was because we had to re-evaluate a few design features.

Hopefully we can make up the lost time now and meet our deadline. We will of course be releasing screenshots (as the project develops) and more details on the game itself.

We'll be advertising for someone who can create some models for us. There will be more than we originally required but still within reason. The good thing is that they won't need to be particularly detailed models. A single basic animation would be helpful but not essential. We'll also need a small amount of artwork. We should have the full specification of these in around a week.
