Plan for Pat Wilson

Ninjas, magic, voluptious heroins...

I am tickled pink to finally have, what I think, is a attainable game goal. I was at work playing Final Fantasy 5 on a SNES emulator and I said to myself, "Man I wish there were more games like this," and then I realized...wow nobody is making games like this. I mean really, there's the Baulders Gate series and it's associated Baulders Gate-ish game types. These, while increidble pieces of work, aren't in the same catagory as Final Fantasy/Dragon Warrior. Different gameplay and style. So then I looked at Torque, and said, "Wow most people are using this for multiplayer games, and mostly shooter-type games...hmmm." The ideas started flowing and pretty soon I had a bunch of ideas how I could impliment X and Y.

I have been without, what I considered, a "real" game idea for a long time now and was feeling like a lost puppy in the rain. I don't know if this game is going to work out exactly how I want it to, but I am pretty sure that this is a finishable game. We're aiming for Final Fantasy <= 7 style gameplay. Simple, no crazy stuff, a good plot line, good character development, and simple (I say it a lot) gameplay.

Ahh man it's so nice to have a working idea again.

Oh do I miss the good old days of games. Good story and fun gameplay. No fancy graphics or anything just a solid story and gameplay.

Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with.
