Plan for Melv May

by Melv May · 08/01/2002 (2:32 pm) · 5 comments

I've got a week off work (5th-9th Aug) that I can dedicate to garage games development.

I will be bringing the fluid rendering upto the next stage for release early next week.

After that I'm going to break from the fluid rendering for a while and have a play at producing massive amounts of foliage in a similar manner to the fxReplicator e.g. a single client-side object creating loads of foliage centered around a replication object.

I won't be using the fxReplicator for this but something else I've been working on recently.

If all goes well I should have at least some images by the end of next week, maybe sooner.

But before all that, I've got an all-day/night house party to organise for Saturday! Mmmmm Beer .... 8)

Not really a secret Phil. It's just I don't want to look stupid if it looks crap! ;)

I've got some blokes laying some slabs behind my garages so I'm off work and at home looking at this right now....

@Robert: Now that's an idea. Perhaps I should think about organising a get together later in the year in the UK for GGr's. 8)

oh boy.. all day/night house party? Been there a few times :) The last one I had we tapped the keg at about 9am, were doing shots by 11am, stopped drinking at about 5 or 6am the next day. That next afternoon wasn't so great though ;)

Foliage? Good idea. Is that Unreal Tournament 2003 that has that in and working? It does look impressive with the long grass. That is one thing about the TGE that could be better. Most of the mission/maps seem very barren, even if they have pretty water ;) btw can't wait to check out that updated version when you're done. I'm sure it will look great.

Have a great party!
