Hi DreamPharaoh,

I commend you for doing such a thing or undertaking such an endeavor.

The quality is great and really inspirational from an indie developer's perspective for myself and others.

One thing though...

Regarding the presentation above and the videos I would seriously reconsider re-structuring it.

Basically everything has it's function and place; text, images, videos, online live demo, etc...

A lot of the boiler plate information presented in the vids would be better presented in text with references images where appropriate to illustrate simple concepts then the main features would be better conveyed through videos/live demos (interactive flash HTML5 are recommended for this) that focus on the individual aspect you trying to convey.

Honestly I enjoyed the videos but skipped about half of them intermittently to move beyond the boilerplate information.

I know this multimedia method works as it corresponds to the presentation strategies of several corporate who I support and implement technology for across a third of the globe. I also present projects to them for review. Definitely expand it to different medias that refine further with a clear structure, devil is in the detail. Presentation, PR and marketing for games and others are all endeavors upon themselves which require and deserve a separate effort in their own right. Very little interest will be garnered from other community members if sourcing the information takes 5-10% of the whole media packages running/reading time. As close to 0% as possible; the less time spent processing or travelling or waiting for information the better.

Hi DreamPharoah,

Do you do your texturing right in Blender?

It's not freeware, but I would have trouble leaving out UU3D Pro from a low-cost toolkit... I use it to fix lots of mistakes I can't otherwise correct.

I am going to go look at your suggestion for video recording--I very much need to make a video or a series of videos and need something to do it with. Thanks for posting your list!
