You've all been such a fantastic resource throughout the development of The AlterVerse Project, I wanted to drop some new goodies here for your feedback.
First, take a look at our new trailer video:
And here's a few of my favorite new screenshots.

We've got plenty more where that came from, so let me know if I've wet your whistle and I'll share a few more. Thanks!

But, I can't help but notice how a lot of the textures could use a bit of an upgrade.
If that's your KickStarter video, and you plan to upgrade the artwork, then I'd suggest having an artist shine-up enough textures (and perhaps the models as well) and make a single screenshot that has been upgraded to the graphical level you want to meet, so you can say to KS "if we get enough funding, this is what you'll get" that could generate some more pledges, since people generally want a video of the finished product when they back a project. (Albeit that doesn't make sense, but that's how the internet works these days.)
Edit:
Also some of the video footage has TONS of foliage, and some of the video only has a small amount. Not sure if it's supposed to be that way, but it just strikes me as a bit odd.
Overall the trailer is of a really high quality, and very impressive!

It is not just the textures, but more the placement of the scenes, for example trees do not grow randomly on the ground, the mostly grow in groups and you have tree lines. In the video the tree placement is mostly wrong.
Another thing is effects, try using some postfx, this will make Torque look more like the typical modern engines, because they use it a lot.
Some scenes also look pretty dull, without much contrast or shadows, while others are very dark with too much contrast.

Thanks for the feedback to everyone else, and good eye! Animations and graphics are at the top of the list of improvements we plan to implement with our Kickstarter money. But because it is created for VR, we have to be very careful about going too next-gen on the graphics because the Rift has the equivalent of two monitors.
Good point though regarding commissioning a single screenshot of a funded-version level of graphics. Certainly something we'll consider before the official launch of our Kickstarter in May. And there's definitely some differences in the amount of foliage, which is intentional. Our game spans 5 homeworlds (so far), all with different terrains and textures. And that isn't even considering the player-generated kingdoms.
Duion -- We are looking for a good PostFX expert but so far no one has stepped up to the plate. Do you have someone you could recommend?
We've got more details, including how to join The 3000, over at www.alterverse.com

The default postfx has a lot of features: ssao, hdr, bloom, lightrays and dof. Just play with the settings. Otherwise there have been a package of a lot of postfx released for free some time ago I think, but you already have most of the important ones by default.

We're revealing more screenshots on twitter during today's #indiedevhour, but maybe I'll leak some here...
Like this one! It's Mythriel, one of the five homeworlds we've built so far.

and this one, of Sudarak, our hunting preserve planet!

Just wanted to share the video we're pushing out today, to sign up players prior-to the launch of our official Kickstarter. Has anyone tried this strategy before? How has it worked for you?
