Homo Sapiens

Hello everyone. It is just a while ago, since my last blog. Here coming the news.

The last 6 months I worked as lead level designer at the game Dawn of Ascension, at WLE. I also will continue that :)

But some times, when I need some thing other to do as developing DOA, I work a bit at my own game Homo Sapiens.

Now, I'm happy to show you the verry first video of Homo Sapiens.
This game is a survival/adventure game.
The player start with noting, and crow up over time. he have to find resources, to make weapons.
All around are creatures, make him not easy to survive.

The player go out hunt, to get more resources, for making armor and health kits and stronger weapons, so he is able to hunt the bigger creatures at this stone age island.
He can do missions, and other things. Exploring the world, let him meet other stoneage ppl and a lot of creatures.

Soon I have a playable demo ready, for testing the game play and may find out bugs. The demo will also help to balance the items.

the creatures are taken from blend swap, but all are redesigned and some got new rigged and ofc they all was need the animations.

the characters I made with make human.

Looks like you've done a lot of work. I especially love dinosaur powered basket ride. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks to all!

Anyone have some ideas, about what ever could be nice in Homo Sapiens, except wave missions, escort events/missions and find items / get weapons end such ? Those are already in the game.

I would like to get more ideas, what could be improve the game fun.
May I forgot also to mention, that this game is a single player.

Working now to make a demo version ready for test purposes and for getting more ideas.

I do like your HUD icons. Nice way of doing health, energy and item.

May it looks a bit too modern for a stoneage theme. But I think it does the job well.
