Afterlife UPDATE
Afterlife is coming along well. I'm planning to release screens this weekend to show it off actually. I've decided to add a lot of new content to it to help expand the world in which you venture to help give it more value. The game will remain free, except the map updates will cost just $9.99 per pack, and there will be 5 main world areas to explore beyond the free game map.
How the map system works in Afterlife
When you order a copy of one of the add-on maps to the game, you will receive a download link to download what will be a stand alone copy of the game. You do not need the free version to play it with, so it will install into a new directory of it's own. The add-on packs will be new worlds that help tell the full story about the game and what is going on. There will even be an android app created by myself just for the game to help explain the backstory better. Right now, there is the following worlds that I am planning to work on after the main free game is complete:
- Afterlife: Desert World: Spanning ruins, caves, alien machines and a lot more.
- Afterlife: Ice World: Using our Ice Caverns Kits and other models to bring this world to life...
- Afterlife: Water World: An underwater journey through a deep sea mine and base located under water which adds more to the story.
- Afterlife: Lava World: Deeper into the caves of the water world level we go.
- Afterlife: Alien World is the final chapter of this adventure. This will close our the entire saga and explain everything of what is going on.Again, each new pack is just $9.99 each and will fill you in on the entire story. Free version should be done before Christmas, 2014, then packs will be coming out about one every 3-4 months there after...sooner if I can get them finished before my deadline dates.
I think you will enjoy the storyline and the game play. Most of it is visually stunning, there are no weapons in the game as of yet, nor will there be. You may use tools to do jobs, solve puzzles but no Doom 3 or other shooter game here. I want a relaxed game style, I call an Ambient Adventure.
I think you will enjoy it, as all the sounds in the game are created by myself for each of the game worlds.
BTW, each game is a mini game. The game packs are designed to be about 2-6 hours long each, depending how you play them. Besides, the worlds are large enough to keep you busy for a while anyways. Daniel: Yeah I've been toying with the idea for years now of how to break a game down into sections to keep them more manageable and tell the story in smaller chunks. Thank you for the good words...
Game 3d: Thank you. Hopefully it will work out, if not, at least I tried, so either way it will be a success. :-)
