Survival Strike - Cargo Drops for 0.50 pre alpha

Gradually finishing off all of the items for the 0.50 pre-alpha release of Survival Strike. This mini project contains a cargo drop with a parachute and container, giving access to an inventory system for re-loading weapons. Later I may add a plane flyby for added visuals. The video below shows a few different angles of the deployment based on using the mouse to select where you want the drop off to go. All of this is using AFX.
Next up - Various missile silo launches with different payloads to cause radius damage.

That's just cool! Good work. I also like how the terrain and environment looks.

Congratulate the Cargomaster - ours rarely landed anything within a hundred meters of the requested splash....

thanks all. It's mainly cinematics, making the parachute sway, add a ground transform and drop both parachute and cargo container at the same time with an offset, play parachute animation at specified duration based on the height remaining from the ground. I couldn't figure out how to mount two shapes together in afx.

Just kidding, it's a really cool bit of game mechanics you created there. Nice work!

Wow, I am currently part of the only Airborne Infantry Unit in the Texas National Guard and I can tell ya... The accuracy is AMAZING :-), in fact we just did 'bundle drops' last drill weekend... uhm, cross wind and a new pathfinder calling release, we ended up hunting things up in the woods (sigh).Just kidding, it's a really cool bit of game mechanics you created there. Nice work!
