See T2D In Action At GenCon

As many of you may know, I've been developing games for multi-touch systems for a little over a year now. This weekend I'll be at GenCon in Indianapolis with Mesa Mundi.

If you're looking to see some T2D games in action, feel free to drop by the booths. We should be at Mesa Mundi's gaming area before lunch and in the evening. We'll be playing our standard suite of games in addition to a new computer/board game I've invented called "BioInfiltrators".

The team making Eon Altar will also be at this booth. The game looks incredible and I can't wait to try it!

Awesome! I wish you guys a great Gencon.
Have you guys switched to T2D MIT or are you still using a customized TGB?

Thanks!

We're still using our customized TGB simply for efficiency's sake. Now that we've got about 35 games, we're less in a hurry to make games.

I've taken the first steps at identifying the code that needs to migrate over and some of the translation steps we'll have to make. I'm really hoping to start it this fall. I'd really like to give out some of the neat things we've done (like web server integration, web page rendering, and QR Code generation).

Thanks for taking the time to respond, I'm sure the community would appreciate those integrations!

William, you've been a huge member of this community for a long time now and I always value all of your posts because they contain awesome tips. I am still using a modified TGB as well and if there was any way you could do a writeup of what it would take to port something substantial from TGB to T2D-MIT that would be amazing and I think a lot of others here would benefit from it as well. Hell, I'd pay money for such a guide.

Good luck at GenCon!

Multi-touch and multi-screen gaming is a really interesting area of game development. Thanks for the links and have a great time at GenCon.

Also thanks to this blog I saw the link to the fill battle tutorial on TDN - wow, somehow between all the 3.0 work I will need to find the time to port your code and tutorial over to the MIT codebase. Really great work!

The event went really well. We had quite a few players and met a ton of great people.

A lot of people were surprised that Torque was being used for this. I guess that's a good thing.

Now it's time to start the next project!
