Forester Pro version 1.22 released

by Matthew Genge · 08/03/2013 (12:40 am) · 9 comments

Forester Pro is a tree, shrub and plant creator which creates randomized models from pre-defined and custom templates. Forester produces collision meshes, LODs and vertex colors for wind effects automatically. Forester Pro models import seamlessly and easily into the world editor.

We've just released version 1.22 of Forester Pro with some additional features requested by some of the larger production teams using Forester, but they should also be useful for solo indie users. Version 1.22 adds the ability to export and import Forester templates meaning you could sync the templates between copies of Forester if you happen to be using it on several systems, or sync with other members of your design team. It also allows you to make back-ups of your templates providing a means of version control.

The registered version of Forester Pro is $20, and additional tree/plant template packs are $10 each. Over 70 different plant and tree species are currently available. A free version of Forester Pro is also available for download from our website.

@Duion I thought you meant it was on the same quality with the Unreal Engine demo level.

It is indeed the Foliage map from UDK, but with Forester trees and plants. I tend to create scenes in either UDK or Torque3D depending on which already has the most appropriate level for the models. If you go back through the Forester stuff, the Africa and Autumn scenes were in Torque3D.
