Background Kit 4: More spacescapes now released!


Well here I am once more. Background Kit Volume 4 is now done and I'm excited. A whopping 566 Megs in size. Slightly bigger then the last pack of 491 Megs. Every weekend for the last two I have been finishing up on these packs and releasing them for the world to see. What's new in this new pack...

More of one location/world:

This time through, more time was spent on giving you a more varied look and feel. First, I made every attempt to make sure all the places didn't seem like you have seen them before. Second, I made a strong attempt to keep the scenes varied as much as possible between each so if you use multi-chained scenes, you will get more of a flow rather then a shock as to find it don't fit your theme.

Color Layering:

I spent a lot of time going through colors and trying to figure out what colors work best in the scenes, this includes sun light, night fall and darkness/shadows. As you can see from the images below, the renders came out strong.

Ok, here it comes... below is screen shots of the backgrounds. There is 48 in this new pack. Resolution sizes are a straight 4000 x 2667 for all the images if anyone is interested to know...




















































































Extra 8 textures not shown in this blog. Main 40 textures shown above. You get all 48 images (40 base images plus 8 extras) in this new kit for just $29.99. That is just $0.62 an image! This kit can be used multi ways including 2D games, 3D game backgrounds inside Torque 3D. Designed via a need to help make backgrounds easier for those who need them. Comes in PNG format to give you the sharpest resolution. I'm already hard at work on the next background kit, Volume 5 which should be the last of the kits, at least that is how it is shaping up right now. More could be on their way past 5 but I don't know at this point.

Ambient Audio to follow art packs:

I'm working hard on ambient sounds to meld with these art scenes, so this way you can have a visual and a audio track to complete the experience. No ETA to when the audio pack will be out. I'm planning on making one for each of the background kits beginning at volume 2 to 5. Best guess would be later this year you might find the first audio pack done, but I don't know, all depends on my schedule of time to work on such a pack.
