Tech note: The old Tropical Pack contained 18 models, version 2.0 now contains 35+. So, it is a huge update and well worth checking out if you purchased the product before.
Blimey, thats a major upgrade!

Video looks great, Ron. Nice work.

@David, Thank you. A long time ago I said this stuff would be a 'living' document. Thanks to the community and a ton of support from folks, my skills have improved and I can make things better. I will continue.

@Kory, Thanks! You have NO idea how much your continued support means.

@Steve, Thank you so much! You are a very skilled artist and it means a lot when a peer says good things.

@Dan, Thank you! Between kelp and Coconuts you have been keeping me busy ;-) When you gonna do another Blog? I always learn a lot when you document your techniques!

To everyone... This is a personal milestone as well. I have now completed over 10 gigs worth of objects in my personal library of T3D models. This does include textures and meshes only. Think I should back it up??? LOL.

Great way to show off the power of Torque.

@ Jimmy and Chris, Thank you both! Not sure about the 'power of Torque' comment, but it is pretty. Heck I spent an hour floating around in the reef area just relaxing and I made the thing....not like I would find anything surprising! Overall, Jimmy, my camera work always stinks but, thank you for liking the video. Speaking of camera work. I really need to step things up if we are going to compete with the big boys. I think I will take a few days to figure out a method or system that works better and looks a bit more professional.

Andy, yep. Stable build of the Caustics and Turbulence Shader is included. As a note....This will also be available in the T3D v.3.0 build. Additionally, I did not use it but, I am including the stable build of the camera based motion blur effect as well. (It just makes filming a bit more difficult...learned this with the Africa Pack demo). Let me know if you want these effects. I can send them to you via email (since they are open source, I am just including them as sort of an 'advanced screening'. Myself, Dave Wyand, and some former members of GG are actually responsible for these effects. Community matters!

Ron,

Great asset pack, the buildings and plants are superb. Nice to have the complete Jungle building kit. Being a geologist I am particularly impressed by the rocks...they look like gneiss.

@Everyone

Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement. This updated pack is uploading to GG today (Friday 01 Feb, 2013). Depending on how busy the Garage Games folks are, it should be available in the store early next week.

NEXT STOP, Conifer Forest Pack 2.0; I am in the mood to make a mine.... More to follow ;-)

I take it you mean a tunnel system underground? Because, y'know... wouldn't take much to make a land mine. Just saying. Now that I think of it, you should make a mine, Ron. Don't put it in the Conifer Pack though, make it a standalone with some temperate vegetation included. Is it too much to ask for a Poplar, Elm or Oak? Sheesh.

Dan,

Those are actually in the unannounced Deciduous Forest Environment Pack, which is up to 64 models....and that's just trees. In fact, I will probably hit you up for an uber terrain for that pack.... When it comes time, I will drop you a request.

See,I have been a very busy modeler over the past couple months.... In fact, I leave this chair to grab food, 1 and 1/2 hours of exercise and when I can...sleep. 7 days a week for the last couple of months. I need a vacation LOL. Oh yeah, and National Guard Drills once a month....sigh.

I'd be super keen to do something for the Deciduous Pack, Ron. Better get to it soon though, as I believe things are going to be bumped up a level or ten at WLE (read between the lines) very soon.

I've developed some new techniques since the Africa Pack. This'd be a great chance to put it all together. Hit me up when you can, mate.

Dan,

No worries mate. If you get bogged down with Winterleaf tasks, well they take priority. I know you have major commitment with them and that's cool.
