Tower Wars - an excellent T3D game and what's next

In case anybody missed it, here's a review of Tower Wars on Daily PC Game Reviews as well as news of the pending Open Source announcement. I hope that will be enough to drive any game developer into a tizzy - I know I would!
PS - Now that the news has sunk in... I'm returning to my Scirra Construct 2 freelance programming work. As an aside, I hope someone will push [edit] TGB into the HTML5 realm soon.
As for my personal project - I'll go back to dreaming up my 4X strategy 2D game and fine tuning the GDD for it...

You're right about the T2D part... would love that feature over there. Somehow, I feel that T2D has been neglected for quite some time now.
I already have both Pro versions, but I don't think it's worth all that effort to plug the code from T3D over into T2D. After all there are other engines around that have already accomplished this.

Oh yes, thanks for the reminder. Goes to show how frequent I powered up T3D to tinker with it. You're right about the T2D part... would love that feature over there. Somehow, I feel that T2D has been neglected for quite some time now.

Finally! Someone else said the same thing I've been saying! Now if someone can just do it (besides me), that would be fantastic! :)

I was able to copy and paste directly from T3D already a couple times and have it work with no changes... in that case, I think it was the menu systems - but point is, easier than you might guess.

You might be surprised -- there is lots of code shared between T2D and T3D. In fact, IMHO -- T2D is merely T3D with features stripped out and a new front end. :)I was able to copy and paste directly from T3D already a couple times and have it work with no changes... in that case, I think it was the menu systems - but point is, easier than you might guess.

Hey Gavin, I've added QT webkit to T2D a while back. It support flash and web rendering as a GuiControl, is this what you are looking for ?http://www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/125755
