A rough work in progress shot
It's been a bit since my last update so I figured it was about time.
For the past several weeks I've been working on a top down shooter similar to Gauntlet, Take No Prisoners and Mage Slayer. I'm getting fairly close to code completion but I'm running into some problems that I just can't seem to get over and I was wondering if any of you guys would have any advice.
I'm using a modified Top Down 8 way Directional Control resource but I'd like to get the camera to rotate with the mouse movement rather than the player moving. When I switch to another camera (ALT+C) it'll allow me the camera control but not the player control and vice versa when on the primary camera mode.
There's also an issue I'm running into with dead player boundingboxes not transforming to the dead AI.
If you guys have any suggestions please post them in the linked threads so anyone else having issues in the future can find help as well. I'll also need to grab your name so I can credit you!
Previously I posted a teamup message here on GG looking for a programmer and I was fortunate to find Max, we've been working hard on the tile control board game Natural Condition:

(Max is doing all of the code work and has a great tiling system and character profiles up.)
And of course the brawler, which in the first time in a while has been making some very strong (coding) progress. I haven't been really working too much on environments for it but here's a clip from the current WIP map.

Thanks all for the compliments (much credit to GG and their stellar art packs) and please check out the threads above, other people have run into the same snags I have.

Adam modeled the hex tile shapes and the bases for Natural Condition and we're using both his realistic and cartoon particle and Temperate Environment Art Pack art packs. He did a fantastic job and is great to work with!
