Announcing Two New Projects + Kickstarter

It's been a while since I've posted. A few of you may remember my frequent IRC visits while I was pounding my head against the wall trying to figure out the shared screen camera mode (it got figured out). But here I am again.

Crowdfunding has become an effective way to raise small (or if you're a medium game dev studio pretending to be indie, a large) amount of money for create projects like video games. After spending plenty of our own money on art assets, music, etc, we realized we needed to find a way to get ourselves the funds so we can finally complete this project.

So, at midnight last night, we launched our Kickstarter campaign.

The campaign is two-fold. Primarily it's raising money so we can finish our Gauntlet Legends inspired game. But, as an added bonus, we are also using Doneish.com to manage our development, and as our needs grow, we will expand the feature set of Doneish.com to accommodate those needs. The best part is, we are releasing Doneish.com for free.

So, my fellow indie developers. We are asking for your help. Anything helps, from a small pledge to just some verbal support. You guys can feel free to voice your comments / questions here, at popflame.com or on our Kickstarter project page. I'll be sure to update this blog as we go.

Edit: I didn't include a link to the project management app. Note: It's still in it's early stages, but is still useful, and we add new things every day / fix bugs constantly.

As a note, we have decided to go with Torque. Lately it's becoming more and more difficult to go against the popular choice now-a-days (you know who I'm talking about). But having a solid multiplayer experience was a big deal for us, and something that was much more plug-and-play with Torque than the alternative. We understand that porting to iOS and Android may be a little more tricky with Torque, but overall we like our chances with Torque. Now, help make us right :)
