Plan for John Quigley

Thanks to Doyoon Kim I'm now able to test the linux platform code with Crime Force.

I'm also looking to add other games to my linux test suite. If you've got a candiate game that is reasonably different from the demo app, drop me a line. The benefit to you is that your game will be up and running on linux sooner, assuming you haven't done something bad like #include right in the middle of game.cc.

I'm looking to assemble some compatibility data with linux torque. If you've tried to get it working on your system, please drop me a note with the following information:

CPU, Video Card, Linux Distribution and version.

How does it work? E.g.: "Fine"; or "works partially but there is a problem with Foo"; or "can't compile/crashes immediately". (For problems any debug data/console output you have will be helpful, remember to use -console to get console output).

For example, here's my system:

Intel P3/1000, NVIDIA GF2, Redhat 7.2, custom 2.4.17 kernel.
Works ok but sound clicks and pops. Using 11/11/01 openal sound library.

well this isn't related to your plan, but I tried the latest CVS version of openal and it worked fine (I didn't uninstall the other version I just overwrote it with the new version) but it still didn't fix the problem with the popping.
