Screenshot Saturday

Screenshot Saturday is an event that takes place on Twitter every Saturday (local time). Its purpose is to share screen captures of games in progress with the world, and was started in late 2010. I don't believe I've seen it mentioned here before, so I thought I would encourage other game developers here on the site to get involved.
Getting started is really easy:
1. Get a Twitter account if you don't already have one. You don't have to install anything on your computer and can stick with their web interface.
2. Take a screen shot of your in-progress game. It could also be an image of some game art you're working on. Post this image somewhere on the web.
3. On Saturday, write a tweet with a short description of the image and a link to the image itself. Be sure to include the #screenshotsaturday hash tag with your tweet so others can find it.
Here is an example of an image I posted about an update to my Zworldo.com game site:

And here is the tweet that I posted for it on December 3, 2011:
That's all there is to it!
If you're curious to see what others have posted, there are two sites that track all #screenshotsaturday tweets:
screenshotsaturday.frogames.com/ (I prefer this one)
screenshotsaturday.com/
For the week of December 3, 2011 (the week I first posted) here are what the other screen shots looked like: screenshotsaturday.frogames.com/spip.php?page=weekly&week=49&year=2011 As you can see, there is a wide variety of in-progress games and art.
So let's get some GarageGames.com representation on there. To keep you company I'll be sure to post an image of my next Torque3D game to be released on Zworldo.com. If you do take part in #screenshotsaturday why don't you also post a link to your image or tweet in the comments below?

I wonder if we will see a bunch of screenshots from Global Game Jam since it is this weekend.

There is still time for everyone to participate this week in #screenshotsaturday. It's still not midnight on the NA West Coast! :)

I wasn't originally going to participate this week as I've been sick. However, with the possibility of extra eyeballs due to the Global Game Jam, I felt I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Sadly, I missed it this week. I didn't get a chance to spend much (any) time on my project this week so I wouldn't have had much new to show anyway. I will definitely jump on it next week =)

I took a break for a couple of Saturdays while I finished things up. Hopefully this is the last screenshot before I launch the game.
