My Ambient World Delayed

Been a long time since my last update, but here it is...
Well first off, good news... We're moving into a bigger house with more acres so I can now focus on getting a haunted house up and running, and going to be using T3D for the modeling and setup to get a virtual fly through of the layout once we get the new site sizes and models together so that should be fun...
Now, for the bad news...
Since I've spent most of my free time working on other projects, and getting them finished up, I've slid back a bit on my opening date of July 4th, 2011 for the new site. Well, I'm hoping that the new layout of the site will be done by Sept 1, 2011. This is a little more out from what I wanted as a milestone but things happen. I've got the base up and going now if anyone wants to have a look around.
What I'm using this trip through...
I found a cool new web tool called Drupal to allow me to do all the hard stuff for me. All I really have been focused on is the actual web layouts and structure of the site. Really a cool system. Also, found a cool guy who sells Drupal mods for the Drupal core system, and I got one. This mod allows me to automate all downloads from my site now so I don't have to sit by pay pal or email waiting for a request to email back a link or links for what the client wants. Its all built into the web site now! Woohhhooo!!! I love advancing in the way of good automated products!
If your looking for a cool web system, besure to check into Drupal. I found it amazingly different from the days I had to do everything in Front Page or Dreamweaver. Wow, and how fast it goes up. And for a guy like myself who knows nothing about MYSQL, the Drupal seems to figure itself out. Don't ask me how it does it, but I think its all built in to the core system. Really cool how it makes your job easier with web stuff overall.
What's Next?
Well I'm actually looking at putting web based vitual haunts up down the road for my other site I'm working on for our haunted attraction. So I actually can't wait to finish this current audio site so I can get back to the other one and begin moving virtual haunt test projects to get a working base going. Will let all you guys here know what progress I get on that BTW. A virtual haunt, who would ever have thought?
So whats the site?
Well, the audio site is http://www.myambientworld.com and its going slow, but it is going. Our Haunted House work in progress is on the DOT NET side of that server BTW, if you want to stop there and check out my work on that which isn't Torque related just yet but it will be when I get the VH's up and runnung.
The Audio stuff for My Ambient World will now be broke down into sections. First on the list I'm currently working on is the Alarm Pack segment. Here, I will feature all the Alarm Park files for single download for those who want only one or two files from the pack now don't have to buy the entire thing like before. There are a few files up there for sale if you want to order anything as well. Look for the list to grow in the next few weeks as I finish the Alarm stuff.
After this, I'm planning on moving one pack at a time, til all 19 packs I've released are up there all in single form. I will not be offering packs anymore as a group, the only place left to buy those is here at Garage Games where my Ambient Collection will remain.
Closing
Thanks for checking out my blog. I know it is a lot of rambling. I have a lot on my plate this summer and am very excited things are finally moving the direction I've been waiting them to. Please check out the site(s) and let me know via email or here what you honestly think of them. Good or bad, I would like to know so I can improve the experience for everyone that comes by the site.
Again, please forgive the small content selection. Just to get to this point has been a work behind the scenes to learn Drupal, and this new mod to allow downloading. Please bear with me, its slowly coming together. I think it will be awesome once its all done later this year, or at least a big chunk later this year. I would like to have the audio stuff up and done adding content by about December, 2011 at the latest. That is when I'm estimating everything will be in full working order.
TTYL and thanks for reading. Will write again soon and thanks for all the support!
Be safe,
