Wizards and Champions MMORPG (TGEA)

Just sharing a bit about what has been going on with Wizards and Champions.
My first contact with Torque was through the Prairie Games Torque MMO Kit. After reviewing it, I was immediately aware of the potential and set out to work through some issues I felt would be needed to meet what I felt would be standards for industrial duty.
Two and a half years later, my second attempt at an MMORPG is about to see the light of day. Wizards and Champions is a lobby based game with emphasis on dungeon runs (of course), character progression and crafting. The majority of activity is PVE, but it may see expansion into PVP in the future.
Wizards and Champions is hosted locally using multiple physical servers behind a smart router configured as an inverse proxy. This configuration makes distribution a breeze. The only limitation is I cannot have more than 1 physical server per zone. However, with over 100 zones running simultaneously in order to handle public instancing, I'm not expecting the single machine per zone restriction to be much of a problem. Given unlimited network capacity, the theoretical max with all zones on independent machines is 15,000 concurrent connections. Not to worry, I could never afford that much connection *grin* so realistic capacity is estimated at around 1,000. Still not shabby considering the budget.
I don't talk much on the forums, and everyone is off in T3D-land anyways. However, I do want to say to those who have participated in TGEA forums... thank-you. The community support, even via time lapse, has been outstanding! Also special thanks to Prairie Games for the opportunity, and the Torque MMO Kit community for hanging tough. Best to all.

I can't afford T3D, but a lot can be done with TGE. The screen shots look really good!

Yes, in 4 versions. TGE 152 TGEA 171 181 and T3D. Only the 152 kit is solid. Others are have a variety of issues. MMOWorkshop.com is the kits home. That's down at the moment, and mmorpgmaker.com has forum setup for us.

<edit> Just got a response! </edit>
Guillermo,
I'm sorry to tell you that licenses for the model packs have been suspended. We are not selling use-licenses for the model packs at this time. We may begin selling them again some time in the future.
For now you'll have to refrain from using the models without a license.

The MMOWorkshop has been down for over a year now. I think it won't come back. I have sent several mails to them requesting licenses for their monster packs and never got a response.<edit> Just got a response! </edit>

Just for clarification in case someone isn't sure what we're talking about. I do have the Prairie Games art asset kits licensed. When their web site for the kit went down, they stopped offering them. I've been going on the assumption that they plan on restarting the MMOWorkshop.com web site. That is what the bulletin says.

Anyway, if you got a license before they closed the site, I guess it will be fairly safe to use the models. I got the critters pack only... bummer...

I have been pestering them every month and indeed this was the most clear response to date. I really don't think they will enable the website anytime soon. Basically they are running the Minions of Mirth MMO and of course they see as a direct competition if they sell their own art assets. Looks like they have no intention in supporting indie developers.Anyway, if you got a license before they closed the site, I guess it will be fairly safe to use the models. I get the feeling there's still a lot of us working on TGE and TGEA, we're probably just less talkative.
