Victory flags

Things are progressing pretty well in my RTS, Orcs vs. Martians. I recently added "victory flags" to buildings in the game.
The idea behind victory flags was to visually reward the player for effective fortifications. So now when a tower gets a certain number of kills, an animated flag appears atop the tower.

The more kills, the more elaborate the flags. The animation above shows towers with 0, 4, 12, and 24 kills. Each new kill-level garners a fancier flag.
I think I might add a 4th level. Maybe at 40 kills. Something really extravagent.
The flag DTS models are separate from the towers DTS's. So, flags can be mixed and matched with the different tower stages. Each tower can specify a unique flag-mount position. (I chose to spec that position via the tower's datablock, rather than via a DTS node, since I'm using several DTS models to which I don't have source...) I've implemented support for each race having a distinct set of victory flags, but currently I just have this one set, that's shown here.

I like to see my units etc gain points and become like characters or heroes.

40 kills? I remember playing multiplayer Torque, and 100 wins with 25 point kill/flag matches was easy for most expert players.I really like what you have going here.

since you get that by kills you could also assume they are getting expert and increse range and/or accuracy with the flag upgrade
then you have tower level 1, 2, 3 and so on
