To all those that love that famous for letter word and those who need help molding that shape and idea of your game character. This is a wonderful time to grab poser or daz studios(free), and get a large assortment of characters.
When I saw this i knew some people might need to see this so they can grab while they can.
If you want to see what this can do take a look at these.
These were made using Aiko 3 and Hiro 3

Legal Note:
No you can not export the characters, multi:res them and use them in your game, that said. Anything you Render you have all legal rights to, without royalties. You can use the rendered characters how ever you like. You can port them to any 3d application for animation and other rendering needs. See there ULA thing for more legal mombo jumbo. I read half of it and got lost so i just called them and emailed them all my usage questions.

My questions were aimed at the usage of the Aiko and Hiro Models. Of which the said no. Plus using these models are too high in poly.

I am interested in this model mainly: www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/base-figures/hiro-4-base?item=8070&cat=1025&_m...
and this one: www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/base-figures/aiko-4-base?item=5980&cat=1025&_m...
can i mod these, and then export them as an edited version with less polys? to use in a game (commercial)

So these are free to "not use in our games?" Could you just explain what the strings on these models are...because this seems to good to be true.I am interested in this model mainly: www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/base-figures/hiro-4-base?item=8070&cat=1025&_m...

Besides The aiko 4 model has in the 10s of thousands of poly's.
This I made with my RPG Anime Character Kit:

My Low Res tori is 7500 polys.
Where The high res Tori is 299000 polys.
There's some small tweaks to be made but that's way better to deal with legally than requesting info on multi resing their character down to that low poly.

No, but you could use them as a character concept tool and model a low res character based off the high res one. You can use the High Res character in rendered form:Gui

This has been a interest of mine for a while.
DAZ now has a game exporter so you can export the daz models for games.
it reduces the polys and export for games see

I just bought it and playing around with it.
IF you need models converted let me know I will try to do them for you time permitting :)
Hope this helps

I bought it, already. And legally you can't Decimate a model for me if I don't have the Multi-Usage license.
Torque 3D Owner Guimo
In fact, I think the MACK and FACK model packs from BrokeAss games are built from Poser and he got a similar approval from Daz3D. Indeed BAG even published a step by step manual of how to export a Poser character for Torque.
But if you will do this, it would be wise to ask for permission anyway.
