I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and that you're ready for a wonderful 2010. Before we get there, I have a piece of personal news to share with the community.

In January, I'll be leaving InstantAction for a new opportunity. Taking my place will be Eric Preisz. He's a great fit for the role, and someone whom I hope you all will have as much confidence and trust in as you've shown in me. It's been a wonderful three years (almost to the day), and I expect big things to continue apace for Torque and the community here. We've accomplished a lot, and Torque, like the community, has matured and grown in a way I'm really proud of.

I'm leaving behind a strong, capable team. Matt Fairfax and Matt Langley continue to guide the product in a smart direction, with the goal of providing the most value possible to people who want to make and commercialize high-end interactive content. The contractors we work with (Sickhead, GameClay, Violent Tulip, Melv, Rene, Luma, etc.) are also driving the product forward at a breakneck pace. Again, great things to come.

Best of luck to all of you. If any of you would like to connect with me in the future, add me on LinkedIn or try shooting me an email at my personal account: brett.seyler at gmail.

Warm regards,
Brett

It has been great working with you over the years (Wow...years). If you're ever my way, I'll buy you a beer! I can't wait to see what's next on the open road!

Thank you for the opportunities you have given me. Outside of hiring me for documentation, you have opened up other doors which I appreciated greatly. I look forward to following your next great venture. My only consolation is knowing you probably can't stay away from Vegas =)

Good luck! We'll miss ya.

@Pete - Agreed with Scott. Eric and I worked together on Torque projects before either of us worked at TorquePowered. He is the best person for the role.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

@Pete: Eric was my first pick to step in, and I'm really glad he accepted. He'll probably be better than me =) He has deeper technical expertise and tons of experience. You guys are in good hands.

Sorry to see you go Brett. I'll remember the help you've given me when I needed it the most. You've been a great person to know in the short while I've been around. I'm glad it's Eric who's taking your place. I don't know him personally, but I've read up a little on him. :)

And please.. be sure to drop by every now and then.
