"Hello All Just a "Quick Update" and some new Concepts from openanewworld. The dogs getting excited I smell RC1!"

Development:

Development is going great the team has started level creation for the first chapter which is what our first milestone is, to get a playable level in Torque3D. The level is being created 50%/50% in Maya/Max. Over the past few months I have played with dozens of PolySoup scenes and have made a list of do's and dont's Top5 Dont's:

If the player has to interact with them via PolySoup

1) No lazy Artist
2) No Use of Zbuffer to intersect Planes
3) No Two Sided Polys
4) No Deform Nurbs that shell
5) Floors and Ceilings are two different planes and need about a foot between them see no. 1 ,2 & 3, Walls too.

Great news is that PolySoup and Collision meshes work well together!

OmegaDog Thoughts
I love GG! I love Torque3D! Slow Death To Haters!
BETA4 + FPS GENRE KIT = 5 STAR - Thanks for the key to eternal coolness!

A Question That's Killing Me!
Will PhysX be part of the FPS genre kit or Full Template will it become part of the normal build? Will it be a step-child? I only wonder because I need it to be so I can blow some stuff up in my next video its getting boring just running around!

Dreaming about CAPCOM!!!
The dog was WOW'ed by this CAPCOM!!! demo and it has a Directx9 version to boot!!!! Woot! Woot!
Made this little video for the CG team to see the end of the CAPCOM!!! level.
About the game/benchmark/video I like to brag about the number of axe hits I can take to the forehead but damn its like Mr and Mrs Timex, takes a lick'en and keeps on ticking!

Just out of curiosity what was your frame rate for the benchmark while not capturing the video. I was pulling about 120fps(170 at times) but dropped to 30fps with capture on:)

Concept art looks good, and the reasons you mention are why I am creating all new models from scratch or others are creating to my specs. I bought several "good looking" game ready models from a few websites and found them to be below par and will require more time to fix, than to re-create from scratch. Small simple objects, not a big deal.

@Konrad - :) "If I only had a brain!" Who made your site for XenoCell?!

@Randy - 60 to 90 fps at 1680x1050.
