I demand that everyone reading this goes and gives ApochPiQ a hug. Now, dammit.
Journal Land Pick of the Week
Triangular Pixels - OrangyTang has created a digital test card for games. What? I'm sure a lot of younger people these days don't remember the colored TV test card image that can appear on a TV station that isn't broadcasting any content. OrangyTang's version for games lets you see if a number of things are correct about the rendering of your graphics, from alignment to color contrast to proper orientation... it's a nifty idea

From the Staff
* Gaiiden's Scroll - the Weekly Sitrep reports on the new News editorial, a possible GDNet podcast, Intel swag shipment status, 2010 conference alignment, V5 updates, missing book reviews.
Project Updates
* Ye Olde Ramblings - Telastyn spent plenty of time this past week working on improvements to Tangent, working on this-properties, Generic Method Bodies and Pattern Matching
* Bennu - Demosthenes shares a Bennu review from 411mania.com. There's also a new release trailer for the game as well.
* Journal of Ysaneya - I like how Ysaneya prefaced his entry on "minor" updates to Infinity with "In this journal, no nice pictures, sorry :)" Well then why am I reading this?? Oh yea, cause the project itself is freaking awesome. Nice pictures are bonus.
* Journal of zedz - zedz has some purty shots up of his latest completed game project. No word on download/purchase though
* iHero - darkpegasus has released v2 of his iPhone game iHero, and is thinking about revisiting an earlier iPhone project, Cascade
* Journal of AEdmonds - AEdmonds posted an updated version of his Breakout game from last week
* Happenings with VBStrider and Crew - this week's IfThen Software newsletter - Stick Adventures Online version 1.2.2 released; Programmer update on SAO; Finished rendering of the bank on the Artist's Easekl
Game Dev Stuffs
* Merry Prankster Games - gdunbar has his complete Lua tutorial series up. Congrats on capping off the series!
* Promit's Ventspace - Promit has a guest writer this entry to talk about "the ancillary object support in our ObjectTable" in part 3 of his SlimDX Architecture series
* mittentacular - mittens' latest article looks at Halo 3, a game that had high standards to live up to. He's played it again recently, and shares current experience with a look back at the time the game was originally released
* All Things Scheme - okonomiyaki talks about "remotely debugging your iPhone Scheme apps with a REPL"
Other Stuffs
* DudeMiester Speaks! - DudeMiester takes a good long look at technical reading and what he likes to see in his technical books. He's on the hunt for texts in computer graphics and physics, math, software engineering and management, and general computer science. He lists his current library, his Amazon wish list, and is poking around for other suggestions and thoughts on his views.
