Announcing Torque Collaborative World Design Tool Kit

To GG community,

ArrowMaker Productions is happy to announce that we'll be releasing the TCWDT kit for TGEA 1.7.1, 1.8.0 and 1.8.1 shortly.

The kit includes:

1) the entire source code for TCWDT for TGEA 1.7.1, 1.8.0, 1.8.1 and a few new script files
2) a 40+ pages merge document showing you all the changes made
3) a precomplied ready to go copy of TCWDT for TGEA 1.7.1, 1.8.0, 1.8.1

--------------------------
A little info about TCWDT:

GarageGames' World Editor in the Torque Game Engine Advanced (TGEA) is rich in features. However, combined with the Torque Collaborative World Design Tool (TCWDT), level editing using the World Editor is further enhanced through real-time collaboration across any available network. One of the main features of the TCWDT is it does not require a dedicated server setup. In a snap any level designer (host) can easily setup and host a level. Once hosted, other designers (clients) with prior authorization can access the hosted level and share the assets for further collaborative game level design.
--------------------------

In the spirit of supporting indie development, those who paid for the binary release before will just need to pay the price difference for the kit. This applies for commercial licensee as well. Please contact GG for further information.

We hope this kit can further enhance the world design development experience among multiple level designers. We also hope the kit will be used to create interesting real-time collaborative gameplay.

The kit has been sent out to Derek at GG and should be available soon.

FYI, we are also working on a T3D version of TCWDT. They are still lots of changes to be made. We hope to iron out all the bugs and release the kit once T3D final is out.

Happy developing and gaming.

Cool! The only thing that stopped me from buying it before was the lack of source.

WinterLeaf Entertainment is coming out with OneWorld 1.0 after the release of MIT 3.0. Our timeline is to have OneWorld out within a month after the initial release to give us time to redo the intergration and do some testing of our own.
