Well it has been a long time since we have posted anything about our game. I think it's time for an update. Due to real life and jobs, time to work on our game has really hindered us in the last year. But of course during the development process we have learned a great deal.......and I mean a great deal. With our small team of 2 and the odd hand of help here and there we have been able to optimize our game to a point where we think it'll be playable on most pc's out there. Right now we are releasing our game to a few selected Facebook users who have joined our group and we hope that there won't be too many problems. After that I believe we are ready for release to the public......finally.
When we first started this project (fresh out of University) we thought we'd get this game done in 8 months. Well I'd say it took about 8 months to learn all the components (AFX(Special Thanks to Jeff), Gui, Engine, Scripting, Networking, etc...) 10 months to build it and 6 months for debugging and whatever else. We definitely had troubles with feature creep because we always wanted our game to be better. At one point we had the Modernization Kit installed and ready for both Mac and PC. In the end we aborted it due to too many computers having rendering issues. It only looked good if you had a newer computer. Our goal was to hopefully reach back as far as we could for older graphic cards. Maybe in the future we'll convert this to Torque3D make it really pretty and have 20+ dynamic weapons to fill the weapon wheel, more characters and of course more levels. The one thing that we are glad we added at the last minute was the Green Ear voice system. We have tested it several times over and have enjoyed the capability of voice chat in our game. Thank you Green Ear :-) Anyways, I'll stop here because I myself tend to bypass the long life story of something and just skip to the video. I hope you enjoy it.

Let me know how progress of the game goes (deborahm@garagegames.com). I'd be willing to put that video up in our vimeo and youtube channels if you want more eyeballs. Just let me know if it's okay to download.
