Kachinko for iPhone is Now Available!

by Logan Foster · 04/14/2009 (7:13 am) · 7 comments

For the past few months MaxGaming (in a publishing partnership with GarageGames) has been developing a port of our "match 3 meets the insanely popular Japanese game Pachinko" game, Kachinko, for the iPhone/iTouch devices. This port was done using iTGB, which we have been helping test and provide development feedback as GarageGames's guinee pigs :)

Today, we are very pleased to announce that Kachinko has finally cleared certification with Apple and is now available in the iTunes App Store for the low, low, price of $4 (that's $16 less than the GarageGames store)!

Unlike the cel phone version of the game that was licensed off of us by Hudsonsoft (which I know some of you have), the iPhone/iTouch version of Kachinko is a complete full-fledged port of the PC game to your favorite mobile device. So not only are you getting a chance to get a great game that is perfectly suited to this device you are getting all the great features from the original game such as:

- Four unique Pachinko machines, each with their own unique style, theme and challenges.
- Increasing skill levels that will challenge you as you progress.
- Match 3 game-play.
- Multiple power-ups such as Eliminator, Stack Wipes, Color Changers and more!

So go download Kachinko for your iPhone/iTouch today (iTunes Link)!

Congrats, Logan!

If you haven't already done it, go to itunesconnect and change the release date to today's date. The way the App Store handles release dates is kind of messed up.

Congrats MG!

Such a fun game to play on the iPhone. On multiple occasions I've played this for the entire length of my bus ride to work (30 min). There are some DS games that do not even hold my attention for that long.

Just bought it. Great job! Any chance you could do a short post mortem telling us about your experience using TGB / iTGB? What worked / didn't work? How much script -vs- C++ work did you have to do?

I noticed I had to connect to WiFi to install it because of its size. What accounts for it's size?
