So you want to build a site for your game?

So you want to build a site for your game? Cool, me too! Check out what Sean and I have been up to since we left GarageGames: onepresscommunity.com. Get your site setup in a day not weeks. OnePress is a Wordpress theme with phpBB forums integrated. The theme is fully widgetized so no more hacking up theme templates, just make a child theme and mark up your CSS. And best of all it's GPL, Merry Christmas!

This is going to be a great time saver when creating new projects, I've used wordpress a lot before and always liked it - now I can work with that and my game.

This looks really cool. I'm going to download it and check it out. Might use this instead of Mambo.

Here are a couple of templates I've purchased for my site...

www.ampedlabs.com/joomla
I'll be posting the onepresscommunity version as soon as I get a chance to install and upload it.

Fantastic stuff as usual Rick! I'm sure you are familiar with Mambo, Joomla etc... I'd like to see you create an art site to host ready made CSS styles, so the non artistic people could download ready made templates...Here are a couple of templates I've purchased for my site...

Hey thats cool. We went down the wordpress route for our new products Flow and FlowED when we needed a site to promote the beta. We integrated forums but just used a forum plugin which is proving less than satisfactort at the moment.

Is anyone else having trouble with the download? I pull down onepresscommunity.com/downloads/OnePress-1.0.1.zip, linked from the onepresscommunity.com download button. It seems like the file should be about 256 KB, but consistently downloads as 50 KB. Downloading .zip files from everywhere else works perfectly, so I'm wondering if there's anyone else is seeing something strange with the download. I'm very interested in giving this a try as it sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. Also, if someone else did download it successfully and wouldn't mind emailing me at jkanalakis [at] envygames (dotcom), I would really appreciate it. Thank you...John K.

I downloaded the zip file last night right off the one press community website and had no problems downloading the entire file. I grabbed it using wget on my Debian server and not via a web browser though:tron@jericho:files$ ls -lh OnePress-1.0.1.zip -rw-r--r-- 1 tron tron 257K 2008-12-19 14:12 OnePress-1.0.1.zip tron@jericho:files$ md5sum OnePress-1.0.1.zip 0c757abadb46ed7de28513b2e16d219d OnePress-1.0.1.zip
