After a year away from games dev, I have started to work on a new action / adventure medieval games project called "14 Tribes". I am between TGE & TGEA right now but hopefully with abit of new help towards the project I will moving the project to TGEA 1.8 as its looking the business these days.

2nd Screenshot:

A quick feature list snapshot of the game is:
# Driven story based single player adventure
# 1st & 3rd person view in-game action
# Enemy battles, stealth moves, & puzzles
# Interact with the local environment
# Massive world locations
# Educational learning aspects
# Real historic landscapes & landmarks
# Fast paced medieval style FPS Multi-Player mode
# Simple game-play controls
The game is split in two with the single player the action / adventure and multi-player is aimed as a fast paced FPS with medieval weapons (should be interesting to get this right!). I have a good amount of gameplay code functions already for both the single player and multi-player but the work ahead now is to put all of this togethere with 40% of the art work already done. Even with a clear path to focus alot of the attention with the gameplay balance, levels, story building and an interesting story.. this is still a massive task to turn all of this into a fun interesting game.
One last bit of news is launching the new website which some members of the community might remember a few the other game titles from the last few years.

Real world historic setting/buildings seems a nice idea.

Looking good. How did you do the cobblestones on the ground? DIF / DTS or some kind of terrain modification?

I'm betting that the cobblestone texture is painted directly to the terrain. Looks really good! John K.

The screenshots are concept pics :) but it is possible to get the terrain to look something like this as otherwise importing a whole 3d scene with the ground (removing the engine terrain) does not work well for large environments of course. Alot more work has to be done with the atmostphere of the levels which will have a "Theif" dark feel to it, the gfx are going to get better (if going with TGEA) and its very early days yet.
