Today, InstantAction informed employees that it will be winding down operations. While we are shutting down the InstantAction.com website and Instant Jam game, Torquepowered.com will continue to operate while InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque. We thank all of our past and current customers for their support.

Just remember that nightly news is full of crap when they say things are getting better in the states. I have faith things will work themselves out for everyone (customers and employees). Chaos brings opportunities u know.

As a reminder, the GarageGames IRC channel is still up and will remain up for quite a while. I will be in there over the coming weeks as this all unfolds, or wraps up. Attendance is at an all time high, I just wish it was for better reasons.server: irc.maxgaming.net

This is quite sad news. You at TP should be in a very delicate situation, I hope you overcome it soon.

Sorry, I forgot to mention in my first post that I, like many others here, wish the best for all employees, users and anyone affected by this announcement going forward at this difficult time.

Wow, guys. So sorry to hear the news. Hopefully the team and the tools both escape the corporate trash pile. I have my fingers crossed for y'all.

So should I start looking for a different game engine? I've been noticing the lack of updates as opposed to a few years ago, and I am guessing that Torque is almost done?

What does this mean for us who are still saving up to buy the engine? We only necessarily need the source, so should I just get T3D Pro, and then upgrade to studio later? or is it too late?

Too late. I don't know why anyone would buy a product that will probably not be supported any longer.

I am waiting for the domain to register and propogate. It's a fitting name.
..more info later tonight, by blog.

Is it too early to ask what happens now to everyone who paid money for the completed T3D program, and didn't receive a final product?
11/12/2010 (1:40 am)
Really sorry to hear this! This Community was one of the main reasons I went with TGE/T3D. Anyway, Good luck to everyone at TP/IA...Hope things will work out for each one of you.Is it too early to ask what happens now to everyone who paid money for the completed T3D program, and didn't receive a final product?

Does That Mean No More Legions at all?

Thanks for your effort. It would be very sad to see all the wealth of information just vanish away in the worst case scenario

I agree William. What would be worse is that all of the information is lost and no where to congregate or easily find one another.

Good luck guys!

This is really unfortunate news. We've been making huge progress with our game using Torque 3D and were looking forward to showing off what a small indie team could do with a little cash and a lot of hard work.Good luck guys!

Who knew ask.com indirectly owned torque? Where is your Jeeves now?
