- Summary:
- I started programming in the 80's in Basic on an Atari 800. What a challenge - 48K of memory and graphics were a matter of manipulating individual pixels. Later I progressed to programming for PC's on an IBM business type computer. Moving into "C" & then C++ and upgrading systems to more game friendly configurations. In the early 90's I was able to secure a contract with Avalon Hill Game Co when they still existed and were publishing some computer games. I did some initial game design and then some programming on a conversion of their popular board game "Advanced Civilization" to computer. It's still a fun game if you can emulate DOS. I continued to work on my own projects while paying the rent with various jobs finally starting to work for Disney Interactive/Buena Vista Games in July of 1997 in QA. In 2001 I had a contract with Take Two Interactive through Talonsoft games which was short lived due to failings both on their part and mine. However, I was able to retain some rights to the IP I was working on and have continued working on it on my own. I've been programming on it for a few years in my off hours and unfortunately been re-inventing the wheel quite often and having bugs which either stop me in my tracks or slowed me down considerably. I'm hoping that working with TGE I'll be able to remedy that situation.
