Summary:

I am an IT graduate from James Cook University Cairns Australia. I have recently moved from Cairns to Brisbane in search of more challenging and exciting job opportunities. My particular passion throughout my studies has been in the area of Game Development.

My studies in IT at James Cook University and my previous three years of employment as a Web Developer have allowed me to develop leadership and communication skills as well as increasing my skills in several programming languages including PHP, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, Java, CSS, SQL, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic, ASP. I am also proficient in a range of development applications including but not limited to Macromedia Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Director and Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere and Encore DVD, Maya 3D.

I have applied these skills in many places over the past three years including the development of many websites and web systems, the most complicated of these being an online club management system and a series of websites for Australian sporting and social clubs www.clubsdotcom.com. This system operates on a large MySQL database and uses PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. I was responsible for its developed and also maintaining the system under the guidance of Programming Solutions. As a final year IT student I developed a multimedia 3D game for learning and physically impaired children. During this project I worked closely with staff of Education Queensland. Liaising with these professionals gave me a better understanding of the development cycle involved in creating large-scale software projects.
