Summary:
My true love is mapping, building something from nothing and then running around in there and killing my friends. I prefer to work with either realistic present day structures and environments or science-fiction themes. With experience back to "old school" 3d engines, such as Quake 1, I have a complete understanding of the basic mechanical elements of map building, such as BSP and CSG, and how to use them to my advantage. As an added bonus, I am also a skilled texture artist and comfortable using either Milkshape or 3D Studio Max to create static objects.

I have been actively programming since the mid 80's with most of my recent programming experience in the realm of databases (gah!). My biggest game related accomplishment was the creation of multi-leveled team/squad-based AI for a Quake 1 (using Quake C). I also enjoy coding custom special effects when I'm designing a map that needs something not currently supported by the code.

I also aspire to be a game designer as I have yet to find that "perfect" game. In fact, I have yet to find a game that I have not turned around and modified in some way, shape or form within the first day of having it.

My most recent completed project is a modified version of Freelancer focusing on game play issues. This mod can be found at www.ioncross.com where I am known under the alias of "Victor." Although it was a team project I was responsible for the majority of the editing in addition to a number of administrative tasks.
