- Summary:
- I started game design in elementry school. I would deisgn board games and card games, not having much acess, or knowlage, to a compter. Evently i started to learn Hypercard, on our old black and white mac, and from there i started making games. During JR High, i studied many laguages for the mac, including c++, but could never find any better then Hypercard, I wasn't too good at c++ at the time. When i was jr in high school, i began to learn c++ in programming class, for windows this time, and i also i got a windows based comp around then too. For that whole year i learned c++, but i still couldn't do what i really wanted too, so my search countiend, but this time on windows. I had rembered on of my friends telling me about Visual Basic, and that is was similar to HyperCard, i wanted to give it a try, because i wanted that old hypercard feel again, and i wanted to remake my best hypercard games. So i set off learning that program, i was looking for more tutroirals on Visual Basic, when i found some one how to use DirectX with it, so i begin to learn that, and began to make a nice 2d game engine.
Since then i have been bouncing around till i could settle on something good, i have been working with torque on and off for a while now, I just finished learning XNA, and that was a big help, becouse i got to learn the basics of how a game should run.
Now i feel confident about my abilites to make a game.
