Hello GG Community,
As the person in charge of marketing for GarageGames.com, I am very much interested in the numerous Torque projects that are going on out in the great wide interwebs. Whether it be a game, simulation, virtual world, or even machinima, I want to know about it. And why should you tell me? Because if I know your project exists, we might be able to do some co-marketing for it. Let's face it, when you're successful, so are we, and vice versa!
So what are the different ways we market Torque games?
Powered by Torque
The automatic thing we do for all Torque games is to put you on the Powered by Torque list. Right now it's just a static list, but if all goes according to plan, we plan on making this a searchable database so new users can search for specific criteria (such as TGB-made RPGs or games published on InstantAction). If you want to be added to the list, you need to e-mail me (deborahm@garagegames.com) the following information:
For games with above average visual appeal and game play quality, we often do GG developer interviews. Here, we're looking for Torque games that have a good dev story to tell. We also need someone from the developer team to answer a series of questions and provide us with high quality video and screenshots for the interview. If you think you have a successful game or other project that makes the grade, e-mail me at deborahm@garagegames.com.
High Traffic Visibility on GG.com
If you pass the developer interview stage, there are a couple of other options available to you. For games that have a nice design and polish, we often use them to promote the engines directly. You can see these games on our Best of Torque pages. We also advertise games on the engine pages. For example, if you go to TGB product page and click on the "Games" Tab, you can see a short list of games made with the engine. And finally, every once in a while, I also include games in our monthly newsletter. Usually I highlight two or three games around a theme (such as Torque games published on Steam). All the opportunities in this paragraph are by invite only and are often a result of a developer interview.
If you have any questions about promoting Torque games, feel free to e-mail Eric Preisz, the Director of Torque: ericp@torquepowered.com. Again, the entire community wins when people see the sheer amount of awesomeness that is made with our engines every day. Thanks and hope to see your game soon!

Hey Deborah, sorry about the email probs,..we are getting to the bottom of it. I think I will wait until we have the packaged playable demo before I send it to Eric. It is our goal to make an impression and our work will accomplish this. I was just hoping to talk with you about resources you have to offer to help us out as we are a no name indy studio at this time. We will be in touch in about 60 days or so. I think you might be surprised:). Talk to you all soonKeith

Just saw this, wondering if you're still doing this. I posted a few answers below. I made about 95% of it in class. Then added more features for public use. I made all new art, but orig designs from team (class mates). I scripted all of it. Took us 6 weeks in class, and myself another 4 weeks to finish it up.I have made games before, this is just my 1st 3D game and 1st using torque. http://www.linkedin.com/in/kennsanderson

Deborah is no longer an employee at GarageGames unfortunately. For now, submissions should be sent to support@garagegames.com. That will ensure we see it.

MinMax Games is about to complete "Space Pirates and Zombies." We have had a very good reaction to the Alpha video which is now on You Tube. This is a preview by Total Biscuit and has about 115,000 view currently. He mentions the Torque engine a few times in the demo which should provide a positive marketing opportunity.

SPAZ is made with TGB 1.7.4
I hope to hear from you.

Over the last few weeks, I have posted a couple messages to support and one to Eric about my upcoming title, but I have not received a response, probably due to the current upheaval. This is understandable, so I will leave a little info here in the hope it gets noticed.MinMax Games is about to complete "Space Pirates and Zombies." Thanks Andrew. Basically, we don't have anyone on staff to tackle these so we are doing our best to track them until we can act on them. Sorry for not responding.

Lol. Whenever I use that flaming tower it kills me. Lucky you to get away from it.
That's looking pretty nice. Can't wait to see your project as it progresses.

But i got the kinks worked out, i would rather post alot the problems im having in a area that owners can see it, they have been around the block so to speak, others that dont own the game engine can give some sort of answer at best, owner that are working with T3d can give me alot better answer in most case's. but not allways.
