2009 IRC Hour Discussion Thread
What It Is: IRC Hour is a chance for the community to have real-time talks with myself and our site admin, David Montgomery-Blake. The subject of these talks is to discuss official docs, tutorials, community contribution, engines, and general GG "going ons". We will be using the GarageGames IRC channelhosted by MaxGaming OnLine.
Where Is It:
Server: irc.maxgaming.net
Channel: #GarageGames
What It Isn't: Debugging other people's code, marathon one-on-one help sessions, soap-box rants, etc.
Organization: Due to the nature of IRC, patience and civility will be required to maintain order and convey everyone's thoughts. We will be making extensive use of private tells to help field questions to guests, but if there are no guests we can have an open forum.
When: Each session will happen every third Thursday, at 5:00 pm (PST).
If the concept proves popular and attendance increases, we may add a second hour in a month.
Purpose: Primarily, this will be another great source of feedback that can be used to improve documentation and the community. Bonus benefits include: getting help with an official tutorial, venting directly to an employee about the state of the docs and tutorials, become a part of an official process in GG, and general back and forth about the issues important to you.
We look forward to seeing everyone in the GarageGames Channel(hosted by MaxGaming OnLine).

That is the latest transcript, there wasn't an IRC hour last month. Unless someone else ran it while Mich was down here gettin' hitched.

@Tyler - Probably today. If you are signed up, you can automatically receive an e-mail with the transcript. Check your account settings.

Likewise. Had that setting checked since the day it was added and have never had an email of the transcript. I think this has been mentioned before by someone either in the forum or during IRC hour itself.

Double check your account settings and make sure it's still checked. One of the site updates reset that setting at one point.

If you are thinking of another IRC hour, can you please think of us outside America. In Europe we are about 8 hours (CET) ahead of you your PST time.
If you have one session in your morning and another one in your afternoon, a lot more customers would be able to join your sessions.
