Mouse doesn't line up OpenGl and D3D doesn't draw right 1.0.51

I'm using Vista with an ATI HD 3650.
When I run constructor it appears really sharp in OpenGL but all the mouse clicks only work when I move the mouse below the actual icon I want - like the hitzone is off by 10 pixels.
When I change to D3D the grid is all fuzzy, so is the screen, the hitzones for buttons is slightly off to the left and menus windows don't redraw properly. The grid is only visible when zooming or panning.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Or, if you haven't tried updating your video drivers, you should try that and see how it works out.

The most effective thing you could do, would be to upgrade your OS from Vista to XP (Service Pack 2).Or, if you haven't tried updating your video drivers, you should try that and see how it works out.

@Maxwell - while I'll totally agree - I'm on the pioneer trail and want to see how far I can get before nuking the partition ;-)

Alrighty - fixed it. Changed the exe to Windows XP compatibility and checked the box Disable Desktop Composition - runs in OpenGL.

But i've found another error in Vista using an ATI card. When I create a light I can sometimes select the falloff for outer and inner and type in new values but sometimes it wont let me. It never lets me change the colour. Seems like a Vista bug.

@Andy - that's actually a contstructor bug. I have it fixed and will go out in the next release. It only affects some systems (why, I don't know). I'll forward you the file that fixes that.
