Torque X Pro 3D Beta

by Kevin R. · in Torque X 2D · 11/30/2007 (5:11 am) · 8 replies

I've installed Visual C# Express 2005, then installed the torquexpro-1.5.0.0.msi. Now when I try to create a project in either Visual C# Express 2005 or VS 2005 Team Edition, I get a (The project type is not supported by this installation) error. What's the deal here?? Also, why does Torque X Pro 3D Beta still require V C# Express?? The XNA 2.0 Beta doesn't require it anymore...

Did you install the XNA GSE?

GG did not have the GSE 2.0 in time to make it compatible with this TorqueX beta, so you still have the XNA 1 (or the Refresh) to get it to work for now.

I don't think you will be able to until it is 2.0 compliant.

Express works just fine installed on the same machine as VS2005 pro no conflicts.

Yeah, I uninstalled XNA 2.0 and installed XNA 1.0 Refresh. Opens up now...

Unfortunately, already behind the XNA curve.. what is GG's plan to keep up with XNA releases and what effect will it have on development of products using the current TGX?

When XNA 2.0 comes out of Beta, then the "behind" counter will start.
