? about explodeOnDeath

In T2 you could set up explodeOnDeath = true; in the projectile datablock so when the lifetime of the projectile is met, the projectile would explode instead of just fade away. I tried doing it with Torque but it seems not to do anything. Anyone have an answer to if this is possible to do or am I going to need to add some code or has someone done anything with this?
