If you downloaded a game, which of these looks would keep or increase your interest in the game?

Scene 1(disregard the bottom red box):

The second.

I'm going to throw my vote in for the first one. The second seems a little too busy and the purple feels out of place to me.

The first one.

I like the first one.
Just a little suggestion: IMO the knives should be a little bigger. The sides of the image seems a little empty.
Also, the "Path" color gradient seems a little out of place compared to the rest of the image. It's too pixel-art, if you know what I mean.
I'm watching it on a lcd screen, and the color transition from one shade of red to the other is too rough. Maybe with a crt monitor it's not so evident...

However, I like it! :)

First one!

I guess you can do a better main menu using tgb than gui builder... just a suggstion... I'm doing my game using tgb instead of the gui and it's so cool!

Do you have a screnshot, Isaac? As far as the main menu, disregard what you see currrently, I'm working on that as we speak (it says that in the first post)

None of them. You should keep working on it. Though the second one seems slightly better for me.

First one (with a different background and the knives centered a little better).

Alright this is a revised version of Scene 1, better or worse than first?

That is generally very nice but I find the "reflection" of the text to be fairly distracting.

Yea I like that apart from the reflection of the text too.

Same here. The background seems a little bit bright, too. What I mean to say is, the title is the least interesting thing in the image and my eyes are drawn everywhere else.

Darken the background and make the clouds a large scrolling tile. That would look fairly cool.

Oh yeah, the clouds scroll actually. I just don't want the font to be too bland and I think the font by itself looks to bland without something. What do you think? Without darkening the clouds or with darkening the clouds. What if I make the text taller?

Here's the revised version with the menu at the bottom

Ooh! I like. I think the buttons might look better as just text (with that font) on the scroll background and scaled up a bit. The rest looks very nice.

I think it looks very awesome and polished. I still think the reflection on the text just looks goofy though. Maybe not goofy in and of itself, but really, what is it reflecting on, do you have an invisible lake floating in the sky? I really dig the art style of the weapons.

The more I look at the picture, the more my tired eyes keep telling me the reflection actually says "Pain of Sleep" with a few dyslexic letters.

Ok. How about now?

Ooh, sexy! I really like it without the "buttons" on the scroll. I like the lack of reflection too. I'm not too sure about the "cinemascope" text though but that could just be personal preference. The font is already designed to be fairly vertical with the horisontals on the 'E', 'F', 'A', and 'H' already being very close to the top or bottom. The vertical stretch just makes them look a little crazy to my eyes.

Maybe a little discontinuity between the title font and the scroll font too.
