Support@garagegames.com and upgrade probs

Sup,

I've been emailing GG for quite some time now. It said on the TGE product page for TGE that if you purchased the engine after August 1st, 2006 that you qualify for a free upgrade to the TGE 1.5.

Well, I was given account access on August 4th, 2006. I've emailed GarageGames several times. It's been months... they never respond. I wonder if support@garagegames.com is a real email address. I can't imagine why they would just ignore my emails... I mean, there isn't even an automatic response saying something like "Thanks for your email. We are currently very busy right now. We will respond as soon as possible".

It just feels like after they get your money, they don't give a sh*t about you. I've bought TGB and TGE and all I was asking them was this: Do I qualify for the free upgrade to 1.5 since I got my TGE on August 4th?

It's really frustrating because I've been waiting for ArcaneFX for ages, and now it's out. It seems that I have to have 1.5 to run AFX.

Has anybody else been completely ignored in this way?

Not sure if I'll ever buy anything from GarageGames again.

I believe there were some e-mail problems a while back related to that address and lost e-mails. Yours were probably in that flood (because it didn't seem like it was just a few from the blog mention). Have you tried again recently or contacted them by phone?

I don't understand. Why wouldn't you qualify?

Yes. Been trying to get someone to fix my GGE registration for a month now, but I never get any responses. Try sending the email again, it might be caught in the spamfilter.

The 1.5 snapshot page at www.garagegames.com/mg/snapshot/view.php?qid=1311 says quote:
Quote:If you purchased Torque Game Engine on or after August 1, 2006, you can download the new version from your My Account page.
August 4th would seem to qualify.

The link here www.garagegames.com/products/torque/tge/upgrade says:
Quote:Users who purchased TGE after August 1, 2006 should have received the upgrade to 1.5 for free: It should show up as an available download on your "My Account" page, however; if you purchased TGE after August 1, 2006 and do not have the TGE 1.5 download in your account, please email support@garagegames.com.

[nice edit Stefan... ;)]

*sighs*

Well, if they've been having email problems then I apologize... just got a little frustrating. I'll try them again. Gotta get that dang AFX.

Thanks for the responses.

EDIT: Oops, I guess someone updated my account page. Please accept my apologies GG. Thought you guys forgot about me. :)

Yay, time to get ArcaneFX!!!

I get the primary initial emails, and you've never successfully had one delivered to support@garagegames.com.

If you use the Support link and enter a bug report, that will get forwarded to the appropriate people.

@Stephen

Hmm, I've been using Hotmail for ages... maybe the problem was from my end?

Sorry for being a sh*thead and thanks for the account upgrade. The 1.5 is a big difference, lots of fun. I love it.

The AFX promo vids are fantastic. Been waiting a long time to get it. :)

Hello everyone,
I too have had problems getting a response. I have sent 4 emails. Is there another email address that I should send this too? Just try again? This has been since 1.5 was first released!

Thanks in advance,
RT

Hi Steve,
I have just sent another email, would it be possible if you could let me know if you've received it?

Thanks again,

For the third time--do not send email directly. Use the Bug Report section under the Support link on your web page navigation bar.

Thanks Zepp,
Any idea when you are as a company are going to fix the support@garagegames.com issue? It seems as though it has been dragging on for 4 months now. I have not seen, other then in this post, any warning messages or headers anywhere on this site stating that if we do not receive a response then we should post a bug report. In any case, thank you for properly directing me to the bug report section. It was my first time using the tool and seems that it will continue to be useful in the future.
