Problems with character lighting/shadows

Hello! I am new to video game dev and am having a problem with the Torque 3D Sun/Skybox environments
Basically, I deleted the 'scattersky' and replaced it with a new sun and a skybox. Unfortunately after doing that the stock characters lighting is now all wrong.
