That Windows XP problem again (new problems)

So I downloaded the Torque2D Binary recently only to find what I should have searched for before I downloaded it; Torque2D won't run on Windows XP unless it's compiled on an XP machine first.
No problem, just download Visual Studio 2013 or 2015 (the windows compilers listed in the files of the latest T2D) and compile it yourself.. right?
Herein lies the problem... VS 2013 and VS 2015 respectively are not compatible with Windows XP. Another (rather minute) problem is that Git itself is not compatible with Windows XP.
So, I need some advise.
Would compilation with earlier versions of VS be a problem?
Is downliading the Source from the Github page without Git going to be a problem?
Is there a pre-compiled in Windows XP download of the latest T2D version somewhere?
Thank you for your time.
