Hello , its the demo v 1.1.2 guy again ,
And I do hope All are well :)!

Can someone offer a brief introduction to the GuiEffectCanvas . It appears , to me , to be a parent to GuiCanvas , I do not own the source , but I think the engine handles instantiating a canvas using the GuiCanvas createCanvas , what does the GuiEffectCanvas offer , I read what little i could find which basically remarked that a few functions were re-implimented in GuiEffectCanvas , SO , as I see it the GuiEffectCanvas is the parent according to a small diagram found in the engine reference (if Im not mistaken) so , that confuses me . Anyway , anything is appreciated , I am interested in Gui effects and/or the remote camera ideal :) . Ive seen the mirror , of course , I dont unerstand it , wish that i did , as it certainly appears to be using a remote camera . Anyways , thanks very much for your time .

I believe GuiEffectCanvas was designed to be an alternative to GuiCanvas and relied on GuiTickCtrl and the VectorField class to create screen-space texture distortion effects (like the old winamp visualization effects).

GuiEffectCanvas, GuiTickCtrl, and VectorField were all designed by Pat Wilson years ago (2004 or 2005-ish?) and I vaguely remember him talking about them in a blog post.

I don't remember ever seeing any working examples or documentation for GuiEffectCanvas or VectorField. I doubt they work properly, to be honest, and I'm not sure why they were ever included in any official release of TGE.
