Can't see tiled terrain, but can collide with it.

I'm working with Legions at the moment (Fallen Empire: Legions / Legions: Overdrive). It actually uses the Torque Juggernaut engine, which was a mixture of TGE and TGEA I believe (more here). Anyways, I never really messed with the tiled terrain option because I originally thought it didn't work, however after trying it out again it apparently does...sort of. The terrain itself isn't visible, however you can walk and collide with it. Is this a known bug that hopefully has an easy fix?

Hey Evan, been a while =)

It's been a long, long time since I even thought about terrain in the older engines. Juggernaut was in development in one part of the company, while the Tech & Tools team was working on revamping the terrain system in TGEA. TGE had infinite tiling terrain, TGEA got Atlas terrain support (but tiling broke for a while), then Torque 3D got mega terrains...it was kind of a mess.

Hopefully others can chime in, but I'm not finding much in my e-mail/bug reports. Doubt I would, since I wasn't in on any Juggernaut e-mail chains. You can also check out our IRC channel:

As an aside, you know I'm still in favor of porting Legions to T3D =)

Thanks for looking into things anyways, Mich. Legions' terrain has posed a number of frustrating issues. Would be great if it were on T3D or even just a finished, stable version of TGEA (or hell even TGE lol). However I think such an overhaul would require the permission from IAC so...yeah. Unlikely.

Thanks again.
