T3D Demos as MIT

A while back, a long while back, Micheal Perry posted that the T3D demos were being handed over to the steering committee for "cleanup" and inclusion into the open source version of T3D.

Has there been any progress on this ? My guess is no which leads me to my next question:
Can these demos and the resources within them now be used as if they were part of MIT instead of waiting for them to be officially "included".
Thanks

This is indeed still happening. I've mostly been posting on the torque3d.org forums about updates and stuff, my apologies if that hasn't been conveyed over here very well.
We wrapped the final few hotfixes to 3.7 so that's getting bundled and with it we'll start pushing these demos out.
The first one to go out will be the Pacific demo. It'll be done as both a regular playable demo, a downloadable package that's mostly just there to show it off, and as a usable package.
The package will be a self-contained thing you can easily drop the content into a project and go with it. It'll include the source scripts and source art for the model files, which the demo itself likely won't(to cut down on how big the download is for the demo).
After that will be the Sector demo, then finally the deathball desert demo.
Hopefully this answers your question!
