Really, Torque is not a very easy game engine for the person who jump into Torque3D from 'Stencyl' or 'Scratch'That is the mistake i made. Also i doesn't had an IDE. I used Notepad for scripting, so i hated scripting. I tried to Use visual scripting like STENCYL, SCRATCH forever.
Now i know scripting and programming are most important for developing softwares and games. Today i have made my first C++ Program(The first). a 2D pong game. it will be better if garage game make a free scripting IDE for torque script. Torque Dev / Codeweaver (i am currently using) have a lot of bugs.
I Undestood Changing game engine is not the end. i have to learn it.(i have Fight against TorqueScript and win TorqueScript).
Quote:Torque 3d is not very easy. I have to code everything.I'll like say about above correctly
for player data block. install a tool. add a player. so i
need a more easier game engine.
I decided to use Unity 5.
it's also free. very popular.
made a lot of games. it's used by popular companies.
example NASA, Imangi.
I doesn't started it. i need to discuss with other
torque users
should I use UNITY 5 ?
Is it easiyer than torque

If you absolutely must use C# in Torque 3D then here you go C# with Torque 3D:
http://www.omniengine.net/Features
Edit:
Well you better not move to Omni... they have apparently moved their production to Unreal 4. I guess that this means that Omni is going to get less attention... Well I don't know for sure.

Well I can't blame them. Their is an awesome MMO kit add on for Unreal 4 that works more or less out of the box.
XSpeed just pick an engine you like and have fun and do not worry s much :O)

If you want to do mobile games, you could look into godot engine, it is also open source and supports multiplatform.

Upload and make a blog post. Or sell it with a game Store
If I have made it alone.
I need to give it it free. But what do you do.
This well be my first published game.
Unity has 21 platforms.

Even better, an MIT liscenced version that just keeps getting better. This is an exciting time we have here enjoy what is in front of you. Go check out Unreal engine 4 if you need "next gen" right now and unity didnt float your boat. Everything is cool learn as much as you can. Enjoy the vast amount of tools before you but I dont think you will see another commercial version of T3D.

I have Looked Over Unreal Before First I See Torque.
Torque Is low On File Size.
So I Guessed It Is Works With G41 Chipset and
1GB RAM.
IF you Using Unreal Tell Me The Minimum

Here is minimum for Unreal 4
Running/Developing with the Engine
Processor Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster
Memory 8 GB RAM
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series or higher
What processor do you have?

Wow. Wish it was a bit cheaper to ship to Sri Lanka from USA. I've got a bunch of 1GB sticks lying around. The GMA X4500 is the integrated graphics chip in the G41 and I believe it is shared memory only so any memory upgrade would be good. Almost any kind of dedicated graphics card would be better. I'm not trying to make you feel bad but no kind of upgrade is achievable?

I doesn't said torque is bad. And not compared it with unity.
That's about a game engine for beginners.
I am sure torque is not good for most beginners.

If you've never made a game before then multiple platforms doesn't matter. "Next gen" doesn't matter. Just start making little test projects and learn how to do simple things. Build your knowledge. Once you know more about what it takes to make a game you'll also know what you really need from an engine.
It just seems that everyone has it in their heads that it's easy to make games because it's easy to play them - nothing could be further from the truth. It takes time to learn what you need to know to make a good game.

It really depends on what you want to make. If you're a beginner, start at the beginning. Game development is not easy and it doesn't matter what engine you're using. That's why you see people constantly switching - it's like saying you want to lift 100 kg, but if you're wearing red shorts you can't so you'll try blue shorts. If you've never made a game before then multiple platforms doesn't matter. Although Torque is a very good engine, it is quite hard to learn.
On the positive, if you've reached a point that you can comfortably work and build a game with Torque, I don't think there's a game engine out there that you can't handle. All engines use very similar technologies.
It's all about patience and will to finish what you started.

we can wear any shorts to lift 100kg.
because color is not a problem. but,
it's harder when wearing long, tight
trousers. okay?.
----------------------
i found some things in torque, that will be hard for beginners.
compared with unity.
1. torque doesn't have a free script editor ( torison is paid ).
2. have to do a lot of changes when making a game other than fps, beginning game development with a fps game is harder for beginners.
3. as 'Sorin Daraban' said " it is quite hard to learn. ".
but a person experienced in unity or unreal, can use torque easily. i am also
a bit experienced with unity and still trying begin torque.
i still cannot say torque is better for beginners, than other engine.
(Multi platform , graphics and physics are not a problem)
at least a better script editor is required.

Difficulty and proficiency are relative to the user's experience as a coder and engine user. All perspectives are valid and useful.

Quote:1. torque doesn't have a free script editor ( torison is paid )You mean script debugger. Most text editors will work just fine for editing TorqueScript, but for debugging Torsion in the best. However, there is a free TorqueScript IDE called Codeweaver.
Quote:2. have to do a lot of changes when making a game other than fps, beginning game development with a fps game is harder for beginners.I don't agree with this. I believe the engine is perfectly set up for 3rd person games, RTS games, vehicle games, and others.
Quote:3. as 'Sorin Daraban' said " it is quite hard to learn. ".I've heard this as well, but every engine has its difficult parts.

My lesser point was, if Torque is the problem then where is your finished Unity game? Or your finished UnrealEngine 4 game? Or finished CryEngine game? It doesn't matter which engine you choose - they're all difficult because making games is difficult.
My larger point was - just start with simple things and learn as much as you can, in whatever engine. Some of that knowledge is engine-specific, but most of it - the real meat of it - is applicable to almost anything. Don't worry about distributing on a thousand platforms if you're not even ready to publish on one - just take the time to learn.

i have wasted your times.
i have tried to use torque when i don't know anything about programming. but we cannot use at least the worlds easiest game engine without programming. I have now started Learning Programming C++,C#,Java, and torque script.
If anyone Had the same problem as me, Please Start learning Scripting. Thank you for all your replies.

Torque 3D Owner Nora Ky
Naga Studios
Current support for Windows, Mac, Linux, Steam. I guest it will with Mobile platform for next version.
I think Badbehavior can be visual like Blueprint in UE4.
I am scripter, I dont like visual, It is difficult to customize and find bug.
When I Start to learn TorqueScript from basic, I feel it very easy than first start learn C# and PHP.
