Spine implementaion status?

I've not meddled with T2D in ages. Was just wondering, did the Spine implementation ever get fixed? I know they added it with T2D 3.0, but then it was discovered still buggy (super over scaled sprites).

With the exception of some improvements made by Simon, there has been zero progress on the implementation. Spine, both the editor and C runtime, have advanced a lot since then. There have been some important changes, like switching to meshes. The developer at Spine has Torque 2D listed on their Trello board, but it hasn't moved in a long time.

It might be worth posting a comment on that card to see if he plans on updating it.
